Report: Everton can’t match Napoli’s valuation for Koulibaly
Everton will be unable to meet Napoli’s valuation of defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, according to Calciomercato.
The report details that the Senegal international is open for a ‘new adventure’ having spent the last seven years in Italy.
Now, at 30, he’s not got too many years left at his best, and is eyeing an exit from Naples in this transfer window.

With a number of rich clubs either happy with their choices or unwilling to sign Koulibaly, Everton appear to be the only side considering signing him.
However, Napoli look to be confident that the Toffees will not pay up, and Koulibaly will stay at the club beyond the summer.
Not surprised
While the report doesn’t say exactly how much Napoli are looking for, it states we will not be able to match it, which is understandable.
The same source reported a few days ago that we had tabled an offer for the defender, and probably by looking at the fee, Napoli decided that he’s way out of our price range.
Koulibaly is certainly a player who walks into our playing XI and instantly improves everyone around him.

Not only is he a solid defender, but he’s also a very good communicator, leader and is a lively presence to have inside the dressing room.
He’s also rated highly by Kevin Campbell who’s referred to him as ‘brilliant’ in an exclusive interview with Goodison News.
Koulibaly has formerly worked with Rafa Benitez so we’re hoping that if the two clubs can come to an agreement over the transfer fee the Spaniard can then convince him to move to Goodison Park.
The lack of European football could put off a player of his calibre, but if Benitez sells him the right picture and explains his plans of taking us to the next level, there’s a good chance that we could get our man this summer.
