Fabrizio Romano: Rafa Benitez will not let Moise Kean leave Everton this summer
Rafa Benitez is refusing to let 21-year-old Moise Kean exit Everton this summer, according to Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking via his Twitch account on Tuesday night [03/08/21], Romano claims Benitez is determined to keep hold of the Italian international, despite his repeated desire to return to French giants PSG after his loan spell there last season.
He said: “Moise Kean still no agreement with PSG and Everton, at the moment Rafa Benitez is not giving up [letting him leave].”

Kean joined Everton from Juventus in the summer of 2019 but struggled to make an impact on Merseyside before being shipped out on a temporary basis.
Quality cover
Keeping Kean would solve another headache for Benitez in the transfer market.
The 61-year-old has already brought Asmir Begovic, Andros Towsend and Demarai Gray to Goodison Park, but none of that trio are guaranteed starters, and he will surely be looking to add three or four more new recruits.
Another winger is on the agenda, while a right-back is a necessity due to Seamus Coleman’s advancing years.

Benitez could also demand another central defender, and the budget may start to run dry if he targets another striker.
Kean offers quality cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and could even challenge him for a starting role if he can find his feet in England, while a front two is not out of the equation.
But it remains to be seen whether Kean will kick up a fuss at being told to stay at Everton, and if he does, he might cause more trouble than he’s worth.
