Everton Super Fans react to rumours about Anthony Martial’s asking price

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.

Everton Super Fans have flocked to a post from Goodison News on Facebook about Anthony Martial’s asking price with Manchester United said to be looking for around £50million.

The report from the Mirror also name-checks the Toffees and led to many of our Super Fans giving their opinion on the 25-year-old.

Some clearly do not rate Martial at all, while others believe he is a talented player who would improve Everton’s squad.

The Red Devils signed Martial in the summer of 2015, and he has made 258 appearances, scored 78 goals, and provided 50 assists since.

In the Premier League, he has scored 55 goals and has played in a variety of positions; however, despite this, some of our Super Fans still clearly don’t rate the Frenchman.

If Everton could somehow find a way to bring Martial to Goodison Park, they would be onto a winner, in our opinion, and a front three of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Martial, and Richarlison would strike fear into any defence in the Premier League.

Everton

Yes, Martial struggled badly in the league last season, but he is still just 25 and could do with a move away to get his career going again. Could Everton be that club to benefit from Martial’s arrival?

Well, he has clearly divided our Super Fans, with some thinking he is excellent and others believing he is absolutely dreadful.

In other Everton news, one player who the Toffees want is keen to leave his current club.
