Everton are not pushing for Denzel Dumfries anymore
Everton are not interested in signing Denzel Dumfries anymore, and the player is pushing to join Inter Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Sports Italy journalist revealed on his Twitter account that the Champions League side are closing in on a deal worth 12million Euros [£10.2million].
He also revealed that the Toffees gave up on the 25-year-old days ago, and the path has been cleared for him to join Inter.
Everton miss out!
Dumfries has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park; however, it was probably always likely to be a difficult deal to complete with Inter interested.
After all, they can offer him Champions League football. However, you have to think that if the Toffees acted sooner, they could have swooped in and signed the Dutchman.
Instead, they will now have to turn their attention to signing another right-back as they can’t really end this transfer window with just Seamus Coleman as a natural option for that position.

Dumfries has been described as “sensational” by Kevin Campbell but it looks like he will be going elsewhere [Goodison News].
Everton haven’t had a great transfer window, and missing out on Dumfries is hardly going to improve the mood on Merseyside ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
He could have been exactly the signing that the Toffees needed, but now it appears as if they will have to find someone else.
In other Everton news, the club have targeted a move for a certain Premier League midfielder.
