Everton Super Fans react to news on Denzel Dumfries

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.

Everton Super Fans have flocked to an engagement post on Goodison News’ Facebook page about Denzel Dumfries’ impending move to Inter Milan.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed on his Twitter account that the Toffees are out of the race for the 25-year-old, and he is set to join Inter Milan after the Serie A giants agreed a fee.

The Toffees were heavily linked with a move for Dumfries, but it appears as if that deal won’t be happening now, and Everton have to move on and find a new right-back.

It is clear that this news has not gone down well with our Super Fans, who are fuming to hear about Dumfries.

Everton have spent very little in this transfer window, and Dumfries could have been a brilliant signing for around £13million [Eindhoven Dagblad].

However, that won’t happen, and they have to find another target before the transfer window ends.

The Toffees only have Seamus Coleman as it stands, and at 32, he could be approaching the back end of his best years, so another option on that right side has to arrive.

Clearly, these Toffees Super Fans wanted Dumfries, but that deal is now dead and buried.

We hope that Everton do get the right-back they need to bring some much-needed joy to these Super Fans.

In other Everton news, Rafael Benitez has issued a claim on FFP.
