Kevin Campbell slams big Michael Keane error v Southampton
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has slammed Everton defender Michael Keane for his performance in the 3-1 win v Southampton.
The enforcer made the big mistake that led to the opener at Goodison Park, as he lost possession which led to Adam Armstrong smashing home.
Campbell insisted that those mistakes need to be cut out, as the Toffees won’t be able to turn it around every single week as they did over the weekend.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “No it isn’t.
“The centre-halve shouldn’t be making a mistake like that and putting his other mate in big trouble.
“This is something that they’ve got to cut that out – against better teams you won’t come back.”

Concern.
Rafa Benitez may be looking at this with a big concern moving forward in the Premier League season.
Ben Godfrey wasn’t available, and once he is back, there are no doubts that he will be thrown straight back into the action.
Yerry Mina appears to be down the pecking order, so it will be a straight shootout between Keane and Mason Holgate for the spot next to him.
Mistakes like this one won’t help their cause, and hopefully there will be more solidarity against Leeds on Saturday, it will certainly be needed at Elland Road.
