James Rodriguez claims he does not know who Everton play on Saturday
James Rodriguez has claimed that he has no idea Everton are playing Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday as he sits out once again.
The 30-year-old missed last weekend’s 3-1 win over Southampton at Goodison Park as he was stuck in COVID-19 isolation.
He ruled himself out of this week’s game on his official Twitch account on Monday evening.

However, three days later on his Twitch account [19/08/21], he has claimed that he does not even know who the Blues are playing this weekend.
The Colombian international said: “I’ll start training on Monday, I think. I’m not going to play at the weekend, I don’t know who they’re playing against, nor do I know.” [Added translation via AS Colombia]

Disrespectful?
Well, this is likely to be construed negatively by many.
Of course, Rodriguez is not playing and has not been involved recently, so perhaps he can be forgiven for taking his eyes off the prize a little bit.
He was playing video games while appearing on a live stream, so he’s bound to be a little hazy with details.
But is there an element of ignorance to it, that he holds no vested interest because of current ongoing with him and the club?
It has been widely reported that he and Rafa Benitez do not see eye-to-eye and that the Blues boss is happy to see Rodriguez depart Goodison Park this month [Liverpool Echo].
Either way, it’s another Rodriguez sideshow heading into this weekend.
He has, however, claimed that he will be back in training on Monday.
Whether he sticks around for too much longer, though, is doubtful.
