Fabrizio Romano: Everton deal to sign Joaquin Correra not done yet
Everton have not yet completed a deal to sign Lazio forward Joaquin Correa, according to Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano.
On his personal Instagram account, Romano was asked whether he has any news on Correa’s potential move to Goodison Park, with one fan saying it’s apparently a done deal.
However, Romano rubbished that but did offer a little bit of an exciting hint by saying: “Not yet!”

Don’t get us excited, Fabrizio
This is bound to kick up a storm of speculation on social media.
Romano is the king of transfer stories and he’s opened up a can of worms by suggesting a deal is there to be agreed for Correa.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Everton have already made a bid of around £30million for the Argentina international, who played a role in his nation’s Copa America victory this summer.
Correa is a forward who can play off another striker or play up front himself or on either winger so he’ll definitely be a handy player to have in the squad.
Last season, stats by transfermarkt show that the South American played mainly as a forward, off another striker.
He scored 11 goals and supplied six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for Lazio, including one against Bayern Munich in the Champions League knock-out stages while he also netted against Juventus, Atalanta and AC Milan in Serie A.
Correa isn’t one to shirk away from the big occasions and he’d definitely improve the attack at Goodison.
However, any deal seems unlikely due to the financial restraints in place at the club.
We may need to sell before we buy Correa.
In other Everton news, the Blues have granted this senior player permission to speak to other clubs.
