Everton have tabled a £5million bid for Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson, with Rafa Benitez keen on a deal, according to The Mirror.
The Spaniard wants to strengthen at right-back, and he sees the 19-year-old Scotland international as a perfect choice.
The Toffees are optimistic of their chances of getting a deal done and are pushing hard to bring him to Goodison Park before the summer transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

Everton need a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman, and Patterson is without a doubt a perfect choice.
The teenager is highly rated by Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, but the brilliant James Tavernier is blocking his pathway to regular first-team football.
The 29-year-old is not slowing down soon, and we believe Patterson could be very keen on moving to the Premier League.
Coleman will be 33 in October, and the Scottish sensation would be aware that he has a chance to establish himself as a regular for the Toffees for years to come.
Parting with £5million for Patterson is huge, and the Premiership champions are likely to accept a bid for their academy graduate or ask for slightly more.
Having been eliminated from the Champions League, Rangers need to make money, and they could be forced to sell some of their players.
That could prove to be an advantage for Everton, and while Patterson has a bright future ahead of him at Ibrox, he is not one of their most important players right now, so a sale could be on the cards.
