Rafa Benitez convinced he can improve Daniel Jebbison

Everton are still in the hunt to sign Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison before the August deadline.

The 18-year-old is attracting interest and the Liverpool Echo have shared a further update on the future of the sensation.

It is reported that Rafa Benitez has been studying tapes of Jebbison, and is convinced he can improve the striker even further.

Sheffield United were planning to send the striker out on loan, but those plans could be about to change.

Everton are pushing for a permanent deal in this window, and are hoping to agree a deal sooner rather than later.

Jebbison has yet to feature in the Championship this season and has only one substitute appearance to his name in the Carabao Cup.

Slavisa Jokanovic appears to fancy experience more than youth, sticking with the likes of Billy Sharp – who has scored the only league goal for the club this season.

The future.

We have seen a quick change from major signings being mooted, to the Toffees reportedly chasing promising younger players.

TEAMtalk reported that a £5million with add-ons has been rejected already, and we should maybe expect another offer soon.

As well as Jebbison, the Bubble have reported that a bid has also been rejected for Rangers sensation Nathan Patterson.

There is clearly a change in the transfer approach this season, and there is a keen eye on highly-rated young players – something we could really benefit from.

Benitez appears key to that, and the Spaniard is watching closely and analysing these talents by the looks of things – you can’t go wrong.

Jebbison scored on his Premier League debut at Goodison Park last season, and the young sensation could be about to score more goals in Merseyside in the years to come.

Expect more movement soon.
