Everton set to miss out on Joaquin Correa

Everton are set to miss out on Joaquin Correa as Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Lazio, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Sky Sports reporter revealed on his Twitter account that the 27-year-old’s proposed move to Inter was totally agreed and that the Toffees will not be signing him.

Everton had reportedly reached an agreement with the Europa League side for the Argentine, but he only wanted to join Inter, and now, the deal between the two Serie A giants has been agreed [Alfredo Pedulla].

Everton miss out on another target.

Inter have been a thorn in Everton’s side during this transfer window as they have already signed Denzel Dumfries, despite the Toffees being heavily linked with him.

Now, it appears as if they are going to take Correa as well, which leaves Rafael Benitez very little time to strengthen his squad.

However, after the Toffees’ win over Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup, he admitted that the club is struggling financially [the Liverpool Echo].

So, there might not be any more additions at Goodison in this transfer window, which would be a shame, and one player who certainly won’t be joining is Correa.

The Argentine could have been a superb addition, but they must now forget about him.
