Everton confident in £5m pursuit of Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison
Everton are confident they can snare 18-year-old centre-forward Daniel Jebbison from Sheffield United this summer, according to The Star.
The Sheffield-based newspaper claims the Premier League club have told the Blades board of directors that they are willing to fork out £5million to bring the Canadian-born attacker to Goodison Park.
Despite numerous loan approaches for his services, a move has yet to materialise for Jebbison, and Everton “believe they can exploit” this “window of opportunity”.

One for the future?
Everton desperately need to sign a new striker this summer, but it’s hard to see Jebbison playing much for the first team in the near future if he does indeed make the move to Merseyside.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is likely to be the only senior, natural striking option at the club again this season with Moise Kean and Cenk Tosun out of favour and set to leave the Blues, if they can be shifted.
Therefore, a space is there to be filled behind Calvert-Lewin.

However, that berth surely won’t be taken by a teenager who has made just six senior appearances for Sheffield United who are owned by Saudi prince Abdullah bin Musaid Al Saud.
Four of those outings did come in the Premier League last season, while his only goal was against Everton at Goodison Park in May to become the youngest player to score on their first start in the competition.
But he is currently struggling to break into the Sheffield United team ahead of Billy Sharp, Rhian Brewster, and others.
Jebbison is surely one for the future, and may be loaned out to continue his development in senior football, or played in the Blues Under-23 side.
