Everton make enquiries about Jeremie Boga ahead of possible move

Everton made enquires on Friday about the possibility of signing Sassuolo attacker Jeremie Boga, according to Foot Mercato.

With less than a year left on his deal at the Italian outfit, a couple of clubs want to land the 24-year-old France-born forward before the summer transfer window shuts, and the Toffees are keen too.

Everton are joined by Crystal Palace, Napoli and Atalanta in keeping tabs on the situation of the speedy Ivory Coast international, and it is believed he could be available in the coming days.

Opportunity?

Rafa Benitez’s side have only been able to complete bargain deals this summer as a result of the need to keep to financial fair play rules, and another opportunity could be presenting itself.

Boga would not cost much as Sassuolo have to make whatever they can by selling him this summer, and Everton are interested.

The Frenchman can play everywhere in attack, and has completed the most dribbles in the Serie A over the last three seasons [Kickest].

The Goodison Park faithful would love such a crowd-pleaser, and the fact that he is also a creative genius would come in handy if a move goes through.

With James Rodriguez not wanted by Benitez, Boga could bring the spark that Everton badly need in the final third.

The former Chelsea man knows how to create and score goals, and the top-six pursuing team could do with those qualities to have a realistic chance of realising their ambitions this season and going forward.

They face very stiff competition for his signature, though, and getting a deal done will not be easy.
