According to Sky Sports, Everton have shown an interest in signing Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Toffees want to strengthen their attack and have sounded out a deal to bring the 23-year-old Frenchman to Goodison Park.
Edouard is also on the radar of Rubin Kazan who have made a £15.4million offer, while Bordeaux are willing to match their bid for the French striker.
The Toffees have a lot of competition to beat in order to land the Celtic star, and we asked our esteemed panel of Everton Super Fans over on Facebook what they think about potentially having him at Goodison Park.
Here is how they replied.
Everton must sell before they can buy as they remain hamstrung by Financial Fair Play rules, and the imminent exit of Moise Kean means manager Rafa Benitez needs to bring in another striker.
With James Rodriguez also expected to leave before Tuesday’s deadline, the Blues could be equipped to get a deal for Edouard done, and his addition to their attack could be a game-changer.
Since he arrived from Toulouse in the summer of 2017, the hitman has bagged 88 goals, helping the Scottish Premiership giants win four league titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.
With just 11 months left on his current deal, Celtic are not willing to risk letting him go for nothing next summer.
The Toffees could get their man as long as they can match other suitors in what is expected to be a bidding war in the remaining days left in the transfer window.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains a fine striker, with three goals to his name already this term in as many league games.
However, Everton need a striker that can give the England international a run for his money and provide quality cover, and Edouard is perfect for the job.
In other Everton news, the Toffees want to sign ex-Chelsea attacking midfielder.
