Everton miss out on Daniel Jebbison, he’s set to join Burton Albion on loan

Everton have missed out on signing Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison this summer but will continue to monitor the 18-year-old, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Football League World has reported that Midlands outfit Burton Albion are set to seal a late deadline day loan deal for Jebbison on and the Echo adds that Everton will keep an eye on his progress there.

The Canadian striker scored at Goodison Park for Sheffield United last season and the Blues have has a £5million bid rejected for the £10million-rated striker this summer.

Jebbison, if he joined Everton, would have more than likely been one for the future for Rafa Benitez.

The Spaniard reportedly likes the 6ft 5 striker, who is bound to be an absolute colossus up front once he’s fully developed.

Benitez likes a strong, bulky striker and Jebbison is clearly someone who fits that bill.

We probably would not have seen much of him this season if he joined but the loan spell to Burton, for the sake of his career, is definitely the best option.

Everton’s striker options are rather limited right now, especially since Moise Kean returned to Juventus.

Benitez doesn’t have much time left to sort out that area while we’d also like to see him and Marcel Brands sign a new right-back.

However, the financial aspect of any deal is likely to be hindered by the Blues’ ridiculous over-spending while Farhad Moshiri has been in the boardroom.

We’re most definitely paying for our mistakes.

In other Everton news, the Blues are ready to offer a two-year deal to sign this new player on deadline day.
