Everton man James Rodriguez is wanted by Istanbul Basaksehir
Istanbul Basaksehir want to sign Everton outcast James Rodriguez before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 8, according to Foot Mercato.
They claim that the former Turkish league champions want to bring the 30-year-old in on loan; however, it is unclear if Rodriguez fancies a move to Turkey or if he will turn down the opportunity.
Basaksehir won the league in the 2019/20 season and have had many former Premier League players feature for them, including Demba Ba and Nacer Chadli. Could Rodriguez become the latest?

Chance for the Toffees to get rid of Rodriguez.
This could be a huge chance for the Toffees to get rid of the Colombian who wants to leave.
However, it is unclear how much of Rodriguez’s wages Basaksehir are willing to pay for the 30-year-old if any.

Either way, though, Rafael Benitez is not a big fan of Rodriguez, and if they can offload him to Turkey even if Basaksehir don’t pay any of his wages, then that would be better for the squad.
Rodriguez could become a disruptive influence if he stays on Merseyside and just hangs around in the reserves, so we hope that this interest turns into a solid offer and the Colombian gets his move.
