Everton Super Fans react to latest James Rodriguez loan report
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton fans have been reacting to a report that the club is prepared to pay part of James Rodriguez’s salary to send him out on loan.
Rodriguez, 30, failed to secure a Goodison Park exit before the conclusion of England’s transfer deadline on Tuesday, August 31.
A week later, however, he could be set to leave for Turkey, whose deadline is not until September 8.

Colombian journalist Carlos Aleman, speaking on Win Sports TV, in a video relayed on their Twitter account, claims Everton are open to negotiations from Super Lig outfit Istanbul Basaksehir and the Blues are prepared to pay part of his salary to shift him out on loan.
That has drawn mixed responses from Everton fans on the Goodison News Facebook page after we asked for their views on paying for the Colombia international to leave on loan.
Here’s what they had to say…

Given his lack of action for Everton over the past six months, it’s easy to see why Blues may be miffed at subsidising his wages so that he can gain regular game time over in Turkey for a year before departing on a free transfer.
After an inspired start to life on Merseyside, events have rapidly gone downhill for Rodriguez, and it looks like he is desperate to depart as soon as possible.
There’s something to be said about paying wages for someone that is playing elsewhere for a season, but given the vast amounts of money the Colombian is likely to be on at Everton, the club may well be thankful just to save any amount possible.
