Everton star Jordan Pickford hits back at critics
Everton star Jordan Pickford has hit back at his critics in the national media and dismissed claims from pundits as just “noise”.
Speaking in England’s press conference before the Three Lions face Poland, the 27-year-old dismissed his critics and insisted that he will keep doing his job on the pitch [Daily Star].
Pickford had a fabulous summer as he was in sublime form for England as they reached the final of the Euros, and he has kept one clean sheet in his first three league games for the Toffees.

He said: “Let them talk!
“It’s noise. I feel like I’ve got my job to do; they’ve got their job to do.
“I’m focused on doing everything I can on the training pitch like always, giving 100 per cent, always improving, trying to get that one or two per cent better each time, keeping clean sheets.
“I think if they are still making noise, then it’s a good thing, really. For me, it’s just performing on the pitch and not getting distracted by any of that.”
Pickford is fully focused.
Pickford has never appeared to be someone who is distracted by what pundits and people say about him.
So, it is good to see that he still isn’t bothered about that now!
The England goalkeeper has had an incredible rise over the past few years and has gone from being relegated with Sunderland to playing week in week out for the Toffees, while he is also the undisputed England number one.

You would also think that under Rafael Benitez, he is only going to get better, which would be a huge benefit for both the Toffees and the Three Lions.
The 27-year-old is a determined character, and it is fantastic to see that none of the noise about him or his performances bothers him.
