Peter Drury savages Jordan Pickford for howler v Poland
Peter Drury wasn’t impressed by what Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford did in the second half against Poland on Wednesday.
The goalkeeper’s clearance in the 78th minute ricocheted off a Polish player and almost found its way into the back of the net.
However, he managed to run back and stop it from running it, but the Three Lions conceded one in regulation time to see the game ending 1-1.

During his commentary for the world feed, Drury said, “A very scary moment for Pickford. He should be more careful there and can’t be doing that.
“England survive for now.”
Pickford of old
The 27-year-old has put in good performances of late both for club and country, but this moment against Poland was akin to Pickford of old.
He once again mistimed when he should release the ball and nearly made the price for what was a rookie error.
These are the kinds of things Everton fans grew sick of, and will be hoping that it’s not something that’s back in his game again.

Pickford is a confidence player and gets better with each game he performs well in.
However, one bad performance can see him take weeks to get back on track, so it remains to be seen whether or not he can put this game behind him and solely focus on the Burnley clash this weekend.
It’s important that if the Toffees are to continue their unbeaten start to the season, that Pickford is unfazed between the sticks for them.
