Everton will continue to monitor Dwight McNeil

Everton are set to continue watching Burnley winger Dwight McNeil and could make another move for him next year.

The Toffees were linked with a move for the 21-year-old in the last summer transfer window, but their interest never materialised into a proper bid [Liverpool Echo].

However, the Liverpool Echo report that Rafael Benitez’s side still want to sign McNeil and could revisit the deal next summer.

Everton to try again for McNeil?

McNeil is arguably Burnley’s most talented player and has been known to score the odd spectacular goal for the Clarets.

However, as of yet, other interested clubs have failed to match Burnley’s asking price, so he has remained at Turf Moor [Lancs Live].

The England Under-21 winger is clearly a player who Benitez likes as Newcastle United were linked with a move for him when he was on Tyneside [Daily Star].

So, maybe he will finally get his man next summer?

Certainly, we think that McNeil could be an ideal signing for the Toffees and has been praised in the past for his “sensational” goals [Burnley’s YouTube channel].

He also must leave Burnley at some point and a move to Goodison Park just feels like the right move for a player like McNeil.

So, this could be one to keep an eye on next year as Benitez looks to continue strengthening his squad.
