Matt Le Tissier mocks Everton fans after 3-1 win v Burnley
Matt Le Tissier has taken a thinly-veiled dig at Everton fans despite their 3-1 win over Burnley on Monday night.
Everton endured a dismal hour at Goodison Park as the Clarets dominated proceedings before Ben Mee struck the opening goal in the 53rd minute.
Michael Keane equalised seven minutes later, though, with Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray firing further goals.

Southampton legend Le Tissier poked fun at Blues on the latest ‘Where’s Jeff ?’ podcast [16/09/21].
He said: “They must have been disappointed, the Everton fans, they only had six minutes between going one-nil down [and equalising], so they only had six minutes to rant on social media before the equaliser went in!”
Ex-Liverpool defender Phil Thompson also delivered his verdict on Monday’s win.
“It went from the shocking to the sublime in the second half, oh my goodness, the turnaround,” he remarked.
“It was Rafa [Benitez] tinkering with the set-up and changing the three at the back. He doesn’t do it with any fuss, not many people would have thought he’d have taken [Ben] Godfrey off out of that back three.”

Still supporting
There’s no denying that two-thirds of Monday’s game was rather dismal for the Blues.
Burnley, a team notorious for defending deep and playing direct, actually had a greater share of possession in the first half.
It was a performance that harked back to the latter days of the Carlo Ancelotti reign as fans were left uninspired by their team’s efforts.
However, Benitez’s early reign has already shown that the Blues cannot be ruled out of anything.
There has been a level of hunger and fight in this side not seen in some time.
As such, supporters have faith in the Spaniard, despite the scepticism that greeted his arrival in the summer.
