Tony Bellew reacts as Everton confirm James Rodriguez exit
Tony Bellew has made his feelings known on James Rodriguez after Everton confirmed his exit to Qatari club Al Rayyan on Wednesday.
Rodriguez, 30, joined Everton from Real Madrid last year but he has now departed Merseyside for the Middle East after just 26 appearances for the Blues.
The Colombian scored six goals during his short stay, but his fitness was a constant concern and he has not played for the club since a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United in May.

Everton confirmed via their official Instagram profile that Rodriguez had sealed a permanent switch away from Goodison Park, leading famous ex-boxer and Blues fan Bellew to offer his verdict.
“Tara!!!”, he wrote.

Bittersweet
Rodriguez is undoubtedly one of the most talented players to have graced the Goodison Park pitch for the Blues, certainly in recent years.
He counts Real Madrid and Bayern Munich among his previous clubs, while he shone at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The world-famous South American star was also terrific during teh early stages of the 2020/21 campaign, and that’s why there is still a section of supporters that are unhappy he has been allowed to exit the club in the manner that he has.
However, there is probably a stronger majority that is happy to see the back of him after months of uncertainty and controversial comments online.
Rafa Benitez was seemingly keen for him to leave as he had no use for him in his squad, but recent results have certainly shown the limits of the players he currently has available to him.
In other Everton news, Simon Jordan has claimed the Blues are ‘another Derby’ and will need Farhad Moshiri to bail them out.
