Everton Super Fans ecstatic after James Rodriguez exit announcement
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton announced on Wednesday that Colombian attacker James Rodriguez had left the club for an undisclosed fee to join Al Rayyan.
After being at the club for a little over a year, the 30-year-old finally parted ways with the Toffees.
His exit proceedings escalated once Carlo Ancelotti left to join Real Madrid and his loyalty appeared to be with the Italian and not the club that was paying him such staggering wages.
While admitting just what a quality player he is, the Toffees fans were unanimous in their emotions after the official announcement was made.
It had reached a point where the faithful would rather have him out of the club than warm the bench and not play a single minute of football.
Here’s what they said:

Glad it’s over
The James transfer saga dragged on for far too long and it started to get on the nerves of a number of Toffees supporters.
He seemed uninterested with what was going on at the club and did nothing to mend bridges with Rafa Benitez.
Since the Spaniard arrived at Goodison Park, he made his mind up about the player and we can now understand his rationale behind it.
Rodriguez also did not get the dream move he desired as we don’t think a move to Qatar was his primary option.
Getting his wages off the payroll could see the Toffees manoeuvre further in the transfer market and bring in a couple of decent players in January.
