Everton Super Fans urge club to sign Sean Longstaff
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton are still keen on signing Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, according to The Liverpool Echo.
The report states that the Toffees believe he will be available for a cut-price valuation in the January window and they could rekindle their interest in the 23-year-old then.
Longstaff’s deal at St. James’ Park expires at the end of the season, so there could be a chance for Everton to even sign him on a free should no club come in for him in January or he doesn’t pen a Newcastle extension.

Toffees Super Fans on Facebook are of the opinion that he will be an upgrade on Tom Davies and give the club strength in depth in midfield.
Here’s what they said:

Decent option
The club are in a financial mess so if they’re getting a player of Longstaff’s calibre then they must consider it.
At 23, he’s still got his best years ahead of him so will undoubtedly get better at Goodison Park.
Rafa Benitez is a firm believer in signing hard-working young players and the Newcastle player fits the bill perfectly.
Whether or not they actually make a bid for him in January remains to be seen.
