Calvert-Lewin, Coleman and Gbamin return to Everton training
Everton have been handed potential injury boosts as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Seamus Coleman and Jean-Philippe Gbamin have all returned to training.
The Toffees travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Saturday, and the club have released some behind-the-scenes footage from Finch Farm on their official YouTube account.
The England international striker and the right-back were not involved in the full training session, only taking part in individual sessions away from the rest of the team.
However, the Ivory Coast international midfielder was seen taking part in full training with his teammates, signifying a huge injury comeback.
Boosts?
While Richarlison and Andre Gomes look set to miss the Man Utd clash having not been seen in training following their injuries, it appears Rafa Benitez could have Calvert-Lewin and Coleman ready after the break.
They have missed the Aston Villa trip, the League Cup defeat to Queens Park Rangers and last weekend’s win over Norwich City.
It is unknown whether the visit to Old Trafford would come too soon for them, but seeing DCL with the ball back at his feet is encouraging, and he could be ready for action immediately after the international break when Everton host West Ham United.
Gbamin has only featured once this term, playing the entire game against Huddersfield Town in the League Cup.
However, a tooth abscess and a thigh problem have ruled him out of recent games as his injury woes continued.
Benitez could do with him back in the squad right now, and with him already involved in full training, he could be making weekend’s matchday squad.
