Liverpool enter race to sign Everton target Luis Diaz
Everton will have to act quickly if they are to sign FC Porto attacker Luis Diaz as Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign him.
According to The Independent, he is a player who’s been tracked extensively by Liverpool as part of their long-term scouting mission.
Per Sky Sports, Everton were in talks to sign Diaz from Porto and even planned to include James Rodriguez as part of the deal.

However, that transfer did not materialise and the 24-year-old ended up staying put in Portugal.
Now, with Rodriguez off the club’s payroll, Diaz is likely to be back on the transfer list for the Toffees.
South American expert Tim Vickery waxed lyrical about him live on Sky Sports News on August 27, as shown on Football Daily’s Twitter account.
He said: “He had a fantastic Copa America. He scored four goals, and each of them was better than the last. They were sensational goals.”

However, should Everton realistically want to sign him, they have to act quickly or could risk missing out on a talented player to their local rivals.
Not replacing Rodriguez is a huge mistake that should be rectified in the January window.
Marcel Brands’ transfers have been disastrous in the past and we’re hoping he doesn’t continue the trend by failing to sign Diaz.
