Everton Super Fans discuss Salomon Rondon’s early performances
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Goodison News Facebook page about Salomon Rondon.
Malaga’s sporting director Manolo Gaspar has claimed that the 32-year-old only moved to Goodison Park for the money, which sparked some debate about Rondon’s time so far [101 tv via the Liverpool Echo].
It seems as if many Everton fans aren’t impressed by what they have seen of the big Venezuelan, and it appears he is going to have to show a lot more.

Since signing on transfer deadline day, Rondon has made four appearances for the Toffees in which he has failed to score or provide an assist.
However, the striker started slowly when he was at Newcastle United as well, with Rafael Benitez calling him out very early into his time on Tyneside [Mirror].

He then went on to win the club’s Player of the Year for that season, so there is plenty of time for Rondon to come good [Newcastle United].
Of course, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will hopefully be back soon, which might lead to limited game time for Rondon.
However, if he can get himself match fit, he has proven himself in the Premier League before, and we would expect him to again.
We understand why our super fans remain unconvinced, but we urge them to be patient with the 32-year-old; he can and will improve and help the Toffees this season.
In other Everton news, a key trio have been spotted in training for the Toffees.
