Michael Owen blown away by ‘Dangerous’ Everton after Manchester United draw
Michael Owen was pleased with the performance of Everton in Saturday’s draw against Manchester United.
Anthony Martial opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half, but they could not seal the three points as Andros Townsend scored an equaliser in the second.
The Toffees could have won the game had Tom Davies not played that pass to Yerry Mina late on in the game, but overall, they had plenty of reasons to be proud of their efforts.

Discussing the game on Premier League Productions‘ show, Owen said, “Everton were dangerous, really dangerous going forward. They’ve given a good account of themselves here. Rafa must be proud of the way his players have performed today.”
What a game
There were a number of takeaways from this one, but all in all, this Everton side looks strong enough to compete against the big boys.
Despite a paltry summer spending, Rafa Benitez has got this team to go to Old Trafford and play the Man United side off the park.

Had luck been on his side, he would’ve picked up three points at a ground where he’s probably one of the most hated, given his spats with Sir Alex Ferguson in the past.
That said, even a draw from this one feels like a win and it’s all credit to the way he’s set up this team.
They were devastating on the counter all game, so it is no surprise that their goal came on the break.
Hopefully, the Toffees continue their good run of form and keep picking up vital points on the road.
