Juventus eyeing potential January move for Allan

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has asked the Serie A giants to sign Everton midfielder Allan in January, according to Italian journalist Fabio Santini.

The Italians are ready to include Aaron Ramsey in a deal that will see the 30-year-old Brazilian return to the Serie A after he initally left Napoli.

Juventus’ poor start to 2021-22 has left Allegri very worried, and he wants to sign top players capable of improving his team’s fortunes ahead of the latter half of the campaign.

Santini said on 7 Gold (via Area Napoli): “Massimiliano Allegri asked for a footballer whom they know very well from Napoli because he played some excellent football years in Campania: I refer to Allan.

“As a partial counterpart, Ramsey could instead end up in England.”

Not happening

Allan joined the Toffees last summer, reuniting with Carlo Ancelotti and has featured in 31 league games since then.

He has featured in all of the seven Premier League games of the season so far and has established himself as a crucial player for new manager Rafa Benitez.

Allan – dubbed “top quality” by Leon Osman upon joining the Toffees [Liverpool Echo] – and Abdoulaye Doucoure have formed a solid partnership in the middle of the park at Goodison Park.

The Brazilian and his French counterpart bullied the duo of Scott McTominay and Fred in the 1-1 draw at Manchester United.

The Everton ace played 212 games for Napoli over the course of the five seasons he spent there, and he surely knows the Italian top-flight like the back of his hand.

Everton

The Old Lady could make an attempt to bring him back, but the Blues will definitely be knocking back any offer for one of their most important players mid-way through the campaign.

Things could change at the end of the season, though, but a January exit is an idea that looks dead on arrival.
