Everton star Richarlison praises Carlo Ancelotti
Everton star Richarlison has praised Carlo Ancelotti for helping develop him as a player in his time at Goodison Park.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Brazilian heaped praise on the Italian and thanked him for helping him grow both on and off the field.
This is in sharp contrast to Abdoulaye Doucoure, who appeared to aim a slight dig at Ancelotti in an interview earlier this week, so perhaps the Italian divided the squad [Everton’s official website].

Richarlison said: “Ancelotti is a guy I’m so grateful for.
“He made me evolve a lot as a player and gave me a lot of off-field tips too, very valuable advice I will carry with me for a lifetime. He is extremely smart, with very well-defined ideas.”
High praise for the Italian.
Ancelotti had looked set to stay at Goodison for the foreseeable future until Real Madrid came calling and pinched him.
The Toffees took their time, but eventually, they appointed Rafael Benitez, which has proven to be a very wise choice so far.
However, you can see why Richarlison praised Ancelotti because, under his guidance, he scored 20 goals in 59 games, which is a good return.
However, we would argue that as a club with the players they have, the Toffees underperformed with Ancelotti in charge, and a tenth-place finish last year wasn’t good enough.

Under Benitez, it seems as if he is getting everything he can out of the players, and once Richarlison returns, we would expect the Toffees to get even better and push on up the league.
This is an interesting interview with the forward, and we recommend any Toffees fan to check it out.
