Rafael Benitez told to leave Everton by fan on talkSPORT
An Everton fan has told talkSPORT that he wants to see Rafael Benitez leave the club.
Speaking to Hugh Woozencroft after the Toffees lost 5-2 to Watford at home, Lee tore into the Spaniard and Salomon Rondon.
There were very audible boos on Saturday as the Hornets turned a 2-1 defeat into a 5-2 victory as the Toffees fell apart.
Lee said: “I am devastated.”
Woozencroft then responded: “Tell us why?”
Lee then detailed why he was so unhappy.
“I thought the substitutions were absolutely poor. He brought off virtually our best player in young Anthony Gordon,” said the Evertonian.
“As soon Gordon [came] off, there was nothing, we lost shape, we lost absolutely everything.
“He [Rondon] cannot score for toffees. He’s been brought in as backup; he’s done nothing; he didn’t even have a shot.
“Some of them are just not doing it; they either need to [step] up or get out of the club.
“That goes for Rafa as well. [He has shown his colours].”
Is the honeymoon period over?
Everton had a fine start under Benitez, but that is now two league defeats in a row and the manner of the loss yesterday was the most concerning thing.
Yes, the Toffees are without Abdoulaye Doucoure, but that doesn’t mean they should go from being 2-1 up to losing 5-2 that is abysmal.
Some of the defending for all of the goals was also shocking, and we can imagine that Benitez will be doing what he can to turn things around.

However, given that some Everton fans weren’t too happy with his appointment in the first place, we can’t imagine that many of them will tolerate too many performances and results like this [Daily Mail].
Lee might just be one fan, but we can imagine that his views are reflected by a lot of people who were inside Goodison Park yesterday.
It is now up to Benitez to ensure that this kind of result never happens again while he is in charge.
