Andres Gomes return could see Tom Davies or Anthony Gordon miss out
Everton duo Tom Davies and Anthony Gordon are at risk of being dropped should Andre Gomes complete his return from injury, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The two started the Toffees’ recent game against Watford and ended up on the wrong side of a 5-2 scoreline.
However, before the game, Gomes was spotted in training and should be deemed fit for the Wolves clash, Rafa Benitez could look to get him back into the playing eleven.
Welcome news
Given Everton’s concerns on the pitch, they will take any kinds of boosts they can get off it.
Benitez has seen his Toffees squad ravaged with injuries ever since he took over at the helm and having another player to choose from is a welcome boost.

Davies scored in the Watford game and was one of the few bright sparks so dropping him would be a tad harsh.

Gordon, despite a good performance, may be dropped to the bench as a three-man midfield could give Benitez the solidity he needs in the centre.
Hopefully, Gomes’ return to the team is coupled with some good form as he’s been a player who’s been hit and miss for the last few years and he’s running out of chances to prove his worth.
