Natalie Sawyers predicts Everton v Wolves scoreline

Natalie Sawyers predicts four goals tonight when Everton make the trip to Molineux to face Bruno Lage’s Wolves side.

However, the talkSPORT host believes they will fall heavily in favour of the home side, with a 3-1 win over the Blues.

“They need to get more points on the board, they’ll need to get a positive performance from this game at Molineux,” Sawyer said of Everton in a video shared on the Boyle Sports Twitter account.

“I just feel as though, the way Wolves are now clicking, it’s not going to be easy for Rafael Benitez and Everton.

“Absolutely, absolutely there’ll be goals in this one. To be going into the last 15 minutes of a game 2-1 up, and then you lose 5-2, it just shows there’s a shakiness to that Everton backline, and that’s something Wolves will definitely want to utilise in their favour.

“I think Wolves are going to win it, as well. I might go for a 3-1 Wolves win.”

Beginning of the end?

Such a scoreline tonight would not wash down well with Everton supporters.

After consecutive defeats, including last weekend’s dismal defeat to Watford at Goodison Park, Benitez’s side need to bounce back.

Everton started the season in such fine form, but one defeat in six games is bad at any level, and that has cranked up the pressure on Benitez, whose early-season popularity seems to be dissipating.

A positive result tonight is paramount given the upcoming fixture list, too.

Everton’s last game before the next international break is at home to Tottenham Hotspur, who may well have a new manager in place after the decision to sack Nuno Espirito Santo today [01/11/21].

Trips to Manchester City and Brentford follow that before the first Merseyside derby of the season at Goodison Park on December 1.

In other Everton news, this injured Blues ace is set for an extended absence after a behind-the-scenes order.
