David Jones praise Everton for allowing Dominic Calvert-Lewin join Sky Sports MNF
Sky Sports presenter David Jones has praised Everton for allowing their star player Dominic Calvert-Lewin to join the Monday Night Football show.
The popular show brings expert punditry from Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville. On Monday, they were joined by Calvert-Lewin and the move was praised heavily.
Generally, clubs do not want to send their players and their manager/coaching staff to express their opinion freely on air, as it can spark negative publicity.

However, Calvert-Lewin not only spoke freely but shared his honest views on Everton as they succumbed to their third defeat in a row, after losing 2-1 against Wolves.
Neville praised Calvert-Lewin on Twitter, and Jones has now praised Everton for allowing their star player to join the show.
Jones wrote: “Spot on, Gary Neville and well done to Everton for giving their blessing – so easy for clubs these days to keep saying no because they’re frightened of negative press.”
Pressure
After a brilliant start to the season, Everton are once again following the same pattern of what happened to them the last term under Carlo Ancelotti.
Post the October international break, Everton have struggled horribly to maintain consistency with injuries to key players – Abdoulaye Doucoure and Calvert-Lewin – didn’t help their cause.
However, three defeats in a row after the international break has put Rafael Benitez under pressure once again.

Everton lost twice at home and lost away from home against Wolves. It was a dreadful first half from them at Molineux as they went 2-0 down.
The second half was an improvement, and that’s the only consolation Benitez can take from this game.
The early-season optimism is gradually fading away and they find themselves battling in mid-table, having now lost the same number of games as they won.
Benitez was pleased with the fact that Everton showed character in the second half, but it was not enough in the end.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are the joint-favourites to sign a ‘Fantastic’ international midfielder with a January move on the cards.
