Kevin Campbell: Everton sorely missing Yerry Mina during injury blow
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Everton are sorely missing Yerry Mina since his injury blow has kept him sidelined.
The Colombian has missed a string of Premier League games, with the Toffees now starting to concede freely from set-pieces.
Campbell believes that other sides have figured out his dominance is missing, and that is something that Rafa Benitez needs to fix.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “I think so. When you have somebody his size and with his aerial dominance, teams think twice about where they play the ball.
“To beat him is very difficult, it’s not rocket science to now work he’s not there and you’ve conceded a few goals from set-pieces.
“It’s something that Everton need to address.”

Problem.
Mina started the season slightly on the chopping block and potentially looking at an exit under Benitez.
The Colombian has since transformed into our most important defender and that has been made very clear in the past month.
Michael Keane has been nothing short of embarrassing this season, and Ben Godfrey has clearly been hugely affected by his COVID-19.
Hopefully, Mina can return against Spurs as he will be needed with Harry Kane surely relishing this one given our fragile back-line.
Something needs to be done quickly, we can’t keep relying on one man to turn up defensively every single week.
In other Everton news, this Toffees defender is being watched very close with a major exit on the cards
