Confirmed Everton starting XI v Tottenham Hotspur

Everton host Tottenham Hotspur today and Rafa Benitez has named his starting XI for the crucial Premier League encounter at Goodison Park.

With some of his key players still injured, the Spaniard has had to do with what he has, with Fabian Delph coming in for Jean-Philippe Gbamin, while Anthony Gordon also starts.

Lucas Digne has also returned to the line-up after missing the 2-1 defeat to Wolves due to a muscle problem.

Everton have confirmed their team for the game on their official Twitter account.

Huge game

Having lost their last three league games, the Toffees cannot afford to head into the international break on the back of another defeat.

Getting a win against Tottenham will be tricky, though, as the North Londoners have a new sheriff in town.

Antonio Conte took over from Nuno Espirito Santo during the week, and the Italian will be keen to start his return to the top-flight with a morale-boosting win.

Everton

The no nonsense tactician will be expecting to make an immediate impact, and the players definitely want to impress their new boss.

The same cannot be said of Everton players, though, after they failed to turn in the games that followed their two defeats ahead of the Wolves trip.

Nevertheless, Benitez will be hoping the team he has picked can get the job done and help relieve the pressure on him.

In other Everton news, an injured Toffees ace is expected to return after int’l break amid fresh update.
