Everton player ratings in 0-0 draw v Tottenham
Everton managed a 0-0 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League clash at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The home side were arguably the better of the two, with the Toffees having a penalty decision turned down by referee Chris Kavanagh after a VAR check.
Giovanni Lo Celso hit the woodwork towards the end, while Everton played the last few minutes with 10 men after Mason Holgate was sent off.

Here, Goodison News has rated the players out of 10 for their performances at Molineux.
Jordan Pickford – 6
Didn’t have to make any crucial save. He was brilliant with his distribution as ever.
Seamus Coleman – 7
A typical tigerish performance from the right-back. Solid in defending and made some excellent tackles.
Ben Godfrey – 7
Another solid performance from the centre-back. Made some very good clearances. Very solid at the back and kept Harry Kane in check.
Michael Keane – 7
A much-improved performance after he was heavily criticised recently. In the first half, he made some outstanding blocks and was equally impressive in the second half.
Lucas Digne – 8
He was simply superb. Solid in defending. Produced some fabulous crosses down the left and created the best chance of the game after a fine interchange of passes with Tom Davies in the second half.
Fabian Delph – 8
Picked up a yellow card for a cynical challenge but apart from that, he was brilliant. His movement was fantastic, and played out some quick passes to the wings to initiate the attack.
Allan – 7
The Brazilian did what he does best – winning duels in the middle of the park and playing out simple passes.
Anthony Gordon – 6
It was a decent performance from the youngster. He dropped deep to help the defence out and played out some smart crosses from the right as well. It was a solid effort.
Andros Townsend – 9
Arguably the best player on the pitch. He was so lively. He was everywhere. He made bursting runs, he made tackles, he won headers, helped defenders out – it was a stellar MOTM performance.
Demarai Gray – 8
Another superb performance from the 25-year-old. He delivered some fantastic crosses, and should have got a goal to his name as well. But, he couldn’t hit the target from close range.
Richarlison – 7
Did well to win the penalty but it was disallowed. In the first half, he looked isolated, but the Brazilian was more involved in the second half.
Substitute
Tom Davies – 6
Missed a good shooting opportunity after he came on, but brought energy as the game progressed. Did very well to win a corner late on.
Mason Holgate – 2
He was supposed to do a better defensive job, ended up losing frequent possessions and finally picked up a red card for a lunge on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin – N/A
In other Everton news, Benitez has assured fans that his side will do well this season.
