Kevin Campbell: Everton luck has disappeared this season
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Everton have no luck at the moment after their 0-0 draw against Spurs on Sunday.
Richarlison was handed a penalty after being felled by Hugo Lloris who took ball and man, but VAR eventually overturned that.
Campbell believes it could have gone either way, and there could have been no complaints if it was given by the officials.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “Those things can go either way.
“There was contact, but the goalkeeper also touched the ball so if you gave the penalty you could say you took the ball but you also got the man.
“It’s Everton’s luck at the minute, they just haven’t got any luck right now.”
No luck.
When things are going against you, they tend to arrive like London buses.
Rafa Benitez will be shocked at things going against him at this moment in time, with his brilliant start quickly fading away.
The Toffees haven’t won in four Premier League games and that will be really starting to frustrate him, just as it is us in the stands every single week.
Sometimes, you need a lucky call like this or a huge deflection for a winner, then it can turn things around and bring confidence back into the camp.
Instead, this VAR call has done the opposite and to make matters worst, Mason Holgate then went on to get sent off – another problem to deal with.
Hopefully, things can change after the international break – fingers crossed.
