Everton should try for Jesse Lingard transfer – report
Everton should make a move for unwanted Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard, according to the Mirror.
The Red Devils are reportedly set to allow the England international to leave in January for £10m, with his contract expiring next summer.
Lingard has made just five Premier League appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season, all of which have come as a substitute.

The Mirror name Everton as one of five clubs that would be well-placed to offer the 28-year-old a way out of Old Trafford.
Their report suggests that Lingard would be a “good fit” for the Toffees, as they have not bought a new number 10 since James Rodriguez’s departure in the summer.
It adds: “Rafa Benitez wants his side to mix it up with the big boys so what better way to do that [than] by signing a player from one of them”.

A logical signing
Everton could certainly do a lot worse than snapping up Lingard on a cut-price deal when the transfer window opens in the new year.
The Toffees are acting cautiously in the market due to Financial Fair Play regulations, but with Manchester United valuing Lingard at just £10m, he would be a cheaper option than most other targets.
It is true that there is a gap in Rafa Benitez’s team for a creative midfielder, with the Spanish boss being forced to use wingers such as Demarai Gray and Alex Iwobi in the number 10 role this season.
Lingard showed on loan at West Ham United last season what an impact he can have when given regular gametime, scoring nine goals and registering five assists in 16 appearances.
He also has experience of playing in the Champions League and Europa League, which would be a huge boost to Everton as Benitez looks to return the club to European competition.
In other Everton news, a report suggests that the Toffees need to start their search for a successor to this star.
