Kevin Campbell: Rafa Benitez will be demanding Everton signings
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Rafa Benitez will be demanding Everton make new signings in the January window.
The Toffees are in a real rotten patch in the Premier League, with standards slipping as injury problems have arrived.
Campbell believes that Benitez demands the best, and could want signings in the final third, midfield and most of all, in defence.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “I think there could be quite a few players that Rafa Benitez will want to bring in.
“I think he won’t be happy with the way they are conceding at the back, Rafa Benitez is very experienced, he knows his stuff and he demands the best.
“Everton haven’t been hitting the standards so a box-to-box midfielder, a forward or wide man who can produce goals or assists.
“I think the real problem has been at the back.”

Get to work.
Are you listening Marcel Brands and Farhad Moshiri?
Money was made from the sales of James Rodriguez and Moise Kean in the summer, and that will have eased FFP fears at Goodison Park.
Things still aren’t great financially at the club, though, so Brands may be forced to work some magic and work on the cheap.
Campbell is spot on though, the Toffees need signings in all thirds of the pitch with the squad depth a real worry at this moment.
Injuries have killed all momentum at Goodison, and Benitez will want more signings through the door to help him.
In other Everton news, this Toffees defender is being watched very close with a major exit on the cards
