Besiktas hope to sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun as soon as possible
Besiktas are afraid they could miss out on Everton striker Cenk Tosun when the January transfer window opens, according to Takvim.
The Turkey international is a wanted man at his former club, and while they are hoping to quickly wrap a move for him up before winter, seeing him in the Toffees’ last two matchday squad has created panic at the club.
As a result, Besiktas are hoping to speed up talks with Everton before they change their mind and decide against letting him go.

Dilemma?
Rafa Benitez has been without Dominic Calvert-Lewin for a while, and he has not hesitated to name Tosun in his recent squads once the striker became fully fit.
He picked up a nasty injury while on loan at Besiktas last term and had to undergo knee surgery in April.
His Everton contract is not likely to be renewed, but with the club still unable to splash the cash in January because of Financial Fair Play, Benitez could be keen on holding on to him until he becomes a free agent at the end of the campaign.

Salomon Rondon is yet to impress, while Richarlison has led the line in recent games.
However, no one knows exactly when Calvert-Lewin will return, and with injuries not wholly ruled out going forward, Everton could be wary about letting Tosun go and potentially be left short of striking options during the second half of the campaign.
They have a tough decision to make, and Besiktas will be hoping it is one that favours them.
