Everton midfielder Tom Davies suffers knee injury, set for at least one month out
Tom Davies has suffered an injury at Finch Farm that is set to rule him out of Everton action for at least a month, according to El Bobble.
The reliable Everton insider – followed and often retweeted on Twitter by The Times journalist Paul Joyce – made the claim via his personal Twitter profile on Monday evening [15/11/21].
He said: “Everton midfielder Tom Davies has suffered an injury in training. Davies will now miss a number of fixtures and be unavailable for at least a month with a knee injury.”
Midfielders running low
Davies joins the growing list of Everton midfielders on the sidelines.
Andre Gomes has been out of action since September 21 with a calf injury, missing the last six games, while Abdoulaye Doucoure’s scintillating start to the season was hit by a foot injury that has ruled him out since October 17.
Everton only have three central midfielders left fit, and two of them, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin, have a less than stellar injury record.
Even Allan had his issues last season as he played just 24 Premier League games due to an injury sustained during the winter period.

Davies, who has made 158 appearances for the Blues since his debut in 2015, has not been a key player for Rafa Benitez this season, evidenced by his usurpation in the pecking order by Delph and Gbamin, but he was still a valuable option to bring off the bench to provide some energy in the final few minutes of a game.
Indeed, aside from Doucoure, he is the only other central midfielder to score for Everton this season, doing so in the 5-2 defeat to Watford last month.
Ben Godfrey may be used as an emergency option in midfield if the Blues pick up any more injuries in that position.
But, for now, Allan and Delph will be expected to retain their spots in the starting XI, with Gbamin used as a substitute.
