Everton have watched Basel striker Arthur Cabral this season
Everton are keen on Basel striker Arthur Cabral and have watched him this season, according to TEAMtalk.
The 23-year-old Brazilian has been in fine form this term, bagging 23 goals and eight assists in 24 games across all competitions [transfermarkt] and he has attracted plenty of teams as a result.
Everton could do with a new striker with Salomon Rondon failing to provide Dominic Calvert-Lewin with quality cover, and Cabral is one of the options their scouts have been running the rule over.

Solid player
The South American has been very prolific so far this term, and he has caught the attention of the Brazil national team.
He was handed a maiden call-up for last month’s international, and while he could only make the bench for their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela, they are surely keeping tabs on his progress.
Everton could do with such a striker in their bid to break into the top-six, and DCL’s injury has exposed their lack of quality depth in that department.
Having joined Basel for just £5million from Palmeiras in 2019 [transfermarkt], the Brazilian would have seen his value skyrocket.

However, Everton should still be able to meet the club’s demands should they look to sell him before his deal expires in June 2023 despite their Financial Fair Play shortcomings.
After bagging 61 goals in 99 games for Basel, Cabral will be keen to test himself in the Premier League where he knows he would get a chance to establish himself as a regular for Brazil like Richarlison.
The Goodison Park outfit could provide him with that chance.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
