Everton star Abdoulaye Doucoure closing in on return
Premier League injury expert Ben Dinnery believes that Abdoulaye Doucoure could be closing in on an Everton return.
Speaking on the Premier League Injury News show, Dinnery discussed the Frenchman’s recovery and revealed that this week could come too early for Doucoure.
This suggests that the Frenchman is recovering from his injury well and could be involved after the game against Manchester City, which is Brentford away.

Dinnery said: “Doucoure [is] still out. Now, he hasn’t joined, at the time of recording, the group.
“So maybe this weekend will come a little too soon for him.”
Not a bad update on Doucoure.
So far, the 28-year-old has missed three games for the Toffees, and they have failed to win any of them without one of their star players so far this season.
Therefore, though he won’t play at the weekend, the rest of the news sounds positive, and we can hopefully expect to see Doucoure back in action before the end of the month.
There is no question that the Toffees have missed Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but without Doucoure, Rafael Benitez’s side have looked pretty lifeless in the middle of the park.

So, the quicker he is back, the better, you would have to say.
The game on Sunday is going to be tough for the Toffees, and it appears as if they will have to try and battle through without Doucoure.
Hopefully, though, that is the last match in which they have to do that for a long time.
In other Everton news, a report has claimed that the Toffees killed Real Madrid’s move for Kylian Mbappe.
