Everton striker Salomon Rondon will not be joining Sivasspor as manager denies move
Everton striker Salomon Rondon will not be joining Sivasspor, says the Turkish side’s manager Riza Calimbay.
A report from Fanatik yesterday had linked the 32-year-old with a January move to the Sivas Stadium, as his summer switch to Merseyside has not worked out.
Rondon is yet to score in eight appearances in all competitions for Everton after he followed new manager Rafa Benitez from Chinese outfit Dalian Professional.

Speaking via A Spor, Calimbay denied Sivasspor’s reported interested in the Venezuelan.
“There are seven weeks until halftime in the Super Lig,” he said. “At the moment, our only thought is the matches we will play in the seven-week period.
“We are not interested in Oğuzhan Özyakup and Salomon Rondon. The claims of Oğuzhan and Rondon do not reflect the truth.”

Failed move
Rondon signed a two-year contract at Goodison Park in August, but Everton may already be trying to move him on.
Rafa Benitez knows the striker well, having managed him at both Newcastle United and Dalian Pro, but the Spaniard’s own future on Merseyside could also be in doubt if the club’s poor run of form continues.
The Toffees would have assumed that Rondon was only ever going to be a back up player in the squad, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury made him a starter in September.
Following a number of poor performances, the 32-year-old was dropped against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of this month and seems unlikely to win his place back any time soon.
No Premier League club is likely to want him in January, so a move to Turkey – just not to Sivasspor – would seem logical or he may even head back to China.
In other Everton news, a report has shared the likelihood of Rafa Benitez facing the sack in the near future.
