Jim White suggests Farhad Moshiri stance on potential Everton exit for Jordan Pickford
Jim White suggests Everton will snub any interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Antonio Conte in England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The Blues shot-stopper, 27, has been with the Merseyside club since 2017, but The Telegraph reported on Thursday [18/11/21] that new Spurs boss Conte wants to sign a British goalkeeper, with Pickford identified as a ‘high-profile’ player who fits the mould.
Reacting to the report on talkSPORT [19/11/21], White named Everton owner Farhad Moshiri as someone who may put a stop to that potential transfer.

White said: “[Spurs] reportedly lining up Jordan Pickford, maybe Farhad and Everton will have something to say about that, but it’s said they want Jordan Pickford to be [the] successor to Hugo Lloris at Tottenham.”
Unpopular exit?
Pickford’s had his fair share of critics during his time at Everton so far, but on the whole, he has the Goodison faithful right behind him now.
Signed from Sunderland for £30million over four years ago [Sky Sports], Pickford has established himself as England’s number one under Gareth Southgate, reaching a European Championship final during the summer of 2021, keeping the most clean sheets in the tournament along the way.

With a number of positions needing to be addressed in the Blues first-team squad, the last thing the club needs is to be searching around for a new goalkeeper.
Pickford, Ben Godfrey, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be providing the spine of this team for at least the next few years, and it would be a big blow to lose one of those to a Premier League rival.
However, it’s a deal that looks far-fetched with the Blues hierarchy sure to snub any advances that comes their way, while Pickford can’t be too enamoured by the thought of leaving Everton for Spurs.
It’s not exactly a big jump, if one at all, unlike if Bayern Munich or Real Madrid came calling.
