Everton defender Yerry Mina close to return from injury
Everton defender Yerry Mina is close to returning to the first team after an injury layoff, according to a report in the Athletic.
The Colombia international last played for the Toffees at the start of October and has been ruled out since the international break.
Michael Keane has partnered Ben Godfrey in his stead and the Toffees have looked vulnerable defensively.

Need Mina back soon
This Everton side has been in freefall over the past few weeks and it is down to the fact that there is no organisation from the back.
Mina gives them the stability that they need and without him they cannot seem to defend properly.
His aerial presence coupled with his physical frame makes it extremely hard for attackers to get past him.
He has also cut down on his errors and now seems to be one of the most polished players at Goodison Park.

Benitez would be keeping a close eye on his fitness and the Spaniard could even revert to a back three given his lack of attacking options.
This would certainly prevent Everton from conceding so many goals and that is paramount if they are to finish in the top half this season.
Whether or not that happens, remains to be seen, but as things stand, that seems highly unlikely.
