Laura Woods stunned by Everton after Gabby Agbonlahor fires relegation reminder
Laura Woods was stunned to hear that Everton are only five points ahead of the Premier League relegation zone.
The Blues are now winless in seven games after a promising start to the season that saw them go unbeaten in their first five.
Speaking on talkSPORT [1 November], ex-England forward Gabby Agbonlahor reminded Woods of the club’s position.

“They’re only five points off the relegation zone, Everton,” Agbonlahor said.
“Wow, oh my goodness,” Woods exclaimed.
On whether the Toffees can turn it around, she said: “Probably not tonight [1 December], it’s the Merseyside Derby which will be a very tough one for them.
“Okay, why don’t we do next manager to go because it sort of links on nicely.
“We’re so morbid this morning, sorry.”

How things change…
Everton picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 from their first four Premier League games of the 2021/22 campaign.
It was a superb start to the Rafa Benitez era after a summer of uncertainty that ended up in fan fury as the ex-Liverpool manager was appointed as Carlo Ancelotti’s successor.
There was scepticism that greeted his arrival, but he looked to have rowed back some support with Everton’s early season form.
However, injuries and suspensions have decimated his squad, with the Spaniard unable to cope with the absences of some big players.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not played since August while Abdoulaye Doucoure and Richarlison have also spent time on the sidelines.
With a tough run of fixtures on the horizon that see them play Liverpool, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Leicester in their next five games, there is now the genuine possibility of the Blues being in the relegation zone by Christmas.
In other Everton news, a new name has emerged as a potential Rafa Benitez successor with the Blues plotting a move for this Portuguese manager.
