Everton approach Premier League to enquire about January FFP limits
Everton want to give Rafa Benitez an immediate helping hand in the transfer market and have approached the Premier League for answers, according to Sunday People.
They are sweating over their January spending allowance, and the newspaper claim in their print edition (5 November, page 55) that they want to know how much they can spend without falling foul of Financial Fair Play regulations.
However, the Toffees are not hopeful of positive news from the authorities, and that could further complicate their chances of strengthening their squad during the winter.

Bad news?
FFP rules prevented Everton from splashing the cash in the summer, and they were only able to spend £1.8million on Demarai Gray before landing four other free transfers.
A massive summer splurge two years ago has resulted in a £140million loss in their last accounts, and it does not seem they will be getting any helping hand from the Premier League.
Farhad Moshiri has the cash, but he will not be able to bring out the cheque book anytime soon, and the Goodison Park outfit will have to make do with bargain and loan deals next month again from the look of things.

It is far from the type of news Benitez wants to hear right now as injuries continue to ravage his squad.
Everton have lost six of their last eight Premier League games, drawing the other two, and things could get worse when they host Arsenal on Monday (6 December).
Whether the Spaniard will still be at the club next month remains to be seen, but he will need to pick up some points in the coming weeks to remain in the good books of the Toffees board.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
