Chris Sutton blown away by Goodison Park in Everton win v Arsenal
Chris Sutton was at Goodison Park last night to cover the game between Everton and Arsenal for the BBC, and the pundit loved what he saw.
The Toffees faithful were in full voice from start to finish as their side secured a 2-1 win over Mikel Arteta’s men on Monday (6 December) night, and Sutton took to his personal Twitter account to claim he loves the ground more than Tottenham Hotspur’s.
The North Londoners spent £1billion on their new stadium, swapping it for White Hart Lane in 2019, but the 62,000 capacity does not rock like the Everton home ground, according to the former Chelsea hitman.

Sutton said: “Great to cover Everton at a rocking Goodison tonight. Brilliant goal to win it from the talented Demarai Gray.
“Some noise when that went in.
“I love Spurs new stadium, but there is something special about the old school grounds like Goodison and Elland Road.”
No doubt
Goodison can only contain about 39,000 fans, but it has more impact on Everton players than the third-largest football stadium in England has on Spurs players.
The fans were in a frenzy after Gray’s late winner ensured Rafa Benitez’s side picked up all three points.
The victory was for the supporters, and the players put in their best to finally produce a response after six defeats and two draws in their last eight games.
Having the backing of their fans every time is something Everton players need to make happen.

It can be the difference between a good and a bad performance, and last night proved it.
It was not particularly a five-star performance from the Toffees, but everyone on that pitch showed character and determination, and that is all the fans want.
They made all the difference against Arsenal, and Benitez and his men will hope they can get more of such going forward.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
